Piper Book & Conference

Piper's new book is now available from Crossway. Almost 400 pages about the implicit and explicit commands of Jesus from John Piper. Should be a very challenging read! Here is a blurb from the back from (of all people) Mark Driscoll:

“This is a peculiar book. It assumes that the four Gospels are true and unified. It assumes that Jesus not only does things for us but also makes demands of us. And it assumes that Jesus has authority over everyone regardless of their religion, gender, race, income, sexuality, nationality, or culture. You will likely not agree with every point. But you will hear from a Jesus who is more than a soft-spoken, effeminate, marginalized, Galilean hippie-peasant in a dress and has the peculiar notion that he alone is Lord.”

Speaking of Piper, we are headed to Minneapolis tomorrow night for his national conference. I am very excited about this, especially Keller, Driscoll, and Carson. I won't be live-blogging but I will post an update when we get back.
***I JUST REALIZED THAT THIS BOOK IS FREE ONLINE HERE. WHAT A BLESSING! ALSO, CHECK OUT PIPER'S CONFESSION.***
